BACD Town Team secured funding of €15K from Galway County Council to carry out an SEC Energy Master Plan Survey on Ballinasloe Town.

Along with our SEAI Community Consultant Orla Nic Suibhne we collaborated with energy consultant company “Plan Energy” to carry out the EMP survey.

The purpose of the survey is to:

  • Help us as a community understand our current energy usage and carbon footprint so that we can understand where they currently are.
  • This will allow us to set reduction targets for the future.
SEC Energy Master Plan Survey on Ballinasloe Town

Surveys were carried out on the following Commercial premises in Ballinasloe.

  • Town Hall Theatre
  • Town Band Hall
  • Gael Scoil
  • Ballinasloe Social Services

Residential Surveys were also carried out on properties in the following locations in Ballinasloe.

  • Greenhills View
  • Suckfield
  • Attyrory
  • Cois Na Habhainn
  • Garbally Oaks
  • Cleaghmore
  • Beechlawn
  • Sarsfield Crescent
  • Ruane
